Hey loves, it’s another month again and I’m so excited because I can’t wait for this year to come to an end. Who’s with me?
A new month is a breath of fresh air and it’s always exciting because you don’t know what the month will bring. There are a lot of opportunities and blessings coming your way this month. (Say an amen if you believe 😃)
Last month I was really excited for the opportunity the month could bring and I must say it did bring a lot of good things despite the bad. The point is, you just have to believe and work to get it. In the last month, I wrote a couple of things that I wanted to get done and I’m glad that I could achieve them. Writing my goals down here really made me accountable so you should definitely write down your goals somewhere and review them from time to time.
I know a lot of us have goals and dreams that we all we love to see accomplished, you can definitely achieve them. I know this year really cut some goals short but that doesn’t mean that you can’t get them going. Despite the whole thing with the pandemic some will still tell you this is their best month so far. You know why? Because they are working for what they want irrespective of what is going on. Believe me, it’s hard to stay motivated sometimes or even bother to get things done especially when you feel like all hope is gone and life just keeps on throwing stones at you that you are tired of dodging so now you’ve just resolved to letting it hit you, it happens. There are some days that you get tired of working and just feel so frustrated and tired with life, don’t give up, rest if you have to for as long as you want, refresh your mind, review your goals, plan your life and come back with a bang.
I just want to encourage someone out there struggling with something. Calm down, breathe, you’ve got this. Don’t give up on you, everything you want is at the other side of you not giving up. Your current location is not your destination, you will surely get to where you are headed, have patience, good things take time. That your idea is going to work out well for you, your business is going to boom, your blog is going to grow, your life is going to go in the direction you want it to. Just don’t give up.
TEN GOAL SETTING QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF.
1. WHAT DO YOU WANT?
To have a goal you must have an intention, a wish that you want to grant yourself. You must have something you want to accomplish and this may be in the various areas of your life. So what do you want?
2. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO CREATE THOSE GOALS?
You need to know your why. Why did you set those goals, what are you hoping to achieve? What is the motivation behind those goals? You need to have a strong reason behind setting those goals and be sure of it. You could set those financial goals because you want to have a certain amount by a certain period of time. Know your why as this will help you pursue your goals.
3. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GET TO?
Where do you want to get it to with those goals, what are you hoping to accomplish? We all set goals for a particular reason, we all have a destination in mind. What’s yours?
4. HOW WILL YOU GET THERE?
Now that you have set those goals, what are you going to do to get there? You simply can’t set goals and lay on your bed thinking that they will just come into existence simply because you wrote them. You have to get up and work. If you want to loose weight, you will know that you have to go on diet, visit the gym amongst others. Make a list of things you have to do to get to your destination.
5. WHAT IS YOUR ACTION PLAN?
For any goal to come into existence, there must be a plan and action must be taken on it? What is your action plan? What do you want to do to achieve those goals? Think about it, plan it and take action on it.
6. WHAT DOES YOUR GOAL NEED?
What do you need to get that goal going? What resources do you need to get? Whose help do you need to have? Write them down. What are the books you need to read, the courses you need to take? Write out all the things you need and also people that can help you, it could be a coach, a family member, a friend, an expert or mentor. Just make a list of people that can help you attain your goals.
7. WHEN DO YOU WANT IT?
When do you want to see those goals and wishes in reality? What is the time frame for those goals? Your goals can be short term, medium term or long term. Let your goals have a time frame. How many months or years will it take you to get what you want?
8. WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP TO GET IT?
What are you going to sacrifice to get to where you are headed. It could be your time, your work or your money. What habit are you going to stop to get those goals. Sit down and think about it.
9. WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK?
We all have limiting beliefs, tackle them when you are setting your goals. What do you think is stopping you from doing that thing you want to do, what is stopping you from being the person you want to be? I’m going to take a wild guess and tell you it’s you. Stop waiting for the perfect time, there’s no such thing as perfection. Other things that can be stopping you is your time and money and don’t worry about that. They will fall into place when you decide to step up for yourself and let go of your limiting beliefs.
10. ARE YOU WILLING TO FAIL AND TRY AGAIN?
Something will surely come up. You’d face obstacles at one point or another, you will fail and fall but are you willing to stand up everytime you fall? Are you willing to keep on going no matter how difficult it gets? Whatever obstacle that comes your way, one thing I know for sure is that, you will surely overcome them and succeed a long as you don’t give up.
I just wanted to drop this here to motivate myself and whoever comes across this. You’ve got this, you will surely overcome. The blessings that will come your way this month will be uncountable. Whatever you do and wherever you go, you will find favour so don’t give up. Your potential is endless, there’s more to you than what meets the eye. Have a blessed week and month.
